• My school, Columbine Elementary School, in Woodland Park, was recognized as one of six national Schools of Character in 2001. Six of us received the award in Philadelphia and presented our school's philosophy on inclusion, community and character building.
• My colleague and I presented at the national ASCD conference in New Orleans in 1995 on our school's developmental writing program.
• I have presented at numerous state conferences on inclusion and curriculum differentiation .

I have had CO, NY, IL, and FL certifications in Secondary English, and Elementary Education, but I've let all of them lapse, even the CO certifications since 2013, because my last school, a CSI charter school, did not require them.
