Summary

I am a Licensed Practical Nurse with 12 years of Clinical Experience and an Advantage Case Manager with 4 years of experience. As a nurse, I have worked in homes, in Assisted Livings, Nursing Homes, Hospitals, Behavioral Health, Chemical Dependency, and Pediatrics. I have also worked in Hospice and Palliative Care. I have years of experience with helping people of all ages, ethnicities, sexual orientation, and socio-economic statuses. I have a diverse employment history including being a housekeeper, woking in Medical Marketing, and Sales. In 2010, after graduation, I was accepted to Mars Hill University In Seattle, Washington and began a Masters In Counseling Program. Coming out of the recent recession, I let fear dictate my next steps, and pursued Nursing instead. I was afraid that I would not be able to have a successful career as a therapist. After over a decade in nursing, I have decided to follow my heart, and finish what I set out to do so long ago, and I think that SNU is the perfect place to do this.
