I am a well-rounded and driven individual who actively balances academics, athletics, leadership, and personal interests. As a dedicated member of AFROTC, I am developing leadership skills, discipline, and a strong sense of responsibility, preparing for a future in military service. This commitment demonstrates my ability to persevere, work as part of a team, and perform under pressure.
In addition to AFROTC, I am a track and field athlete, which has helped me build physical endurance, dedication to personal fitness, and a competitive spirit. Track and field require discipline, goal-setting, and resilience qualities that I apply to other areas of my life, including academics and leadership. Through training and competition, I have learned both individual perseverance and the importance of teamwork.
From the beginning of my college and Air Force career I always struggled with both academic and physical standards back in 2023. This was due to a lot of factors like quitting my management job to pursue my college/military career. So, I raised my expectations of myself and tried my best to improve and succeed in what I was doing and before I knew it I went above even the standards that I set for myself. Starting with academics, I took an overloaded amount of classes while still maintaining a great GPA which resulted in my graduation date moving up an entire year with me getting my associates degree in less than a year and getting my bachelors degree in an estimated 3 years. All of this gained the attention of other upper-division schools which, earned me a scholarship at LMU. Now with physical standards, this one mainly factored in with both the OCC track & field team and the United States Air Force. I originally received a physical fitness assessment (PFA) of 68/100 which during the spring of '24' which (in-terms) is below physical standards which the minimum was 75. Then after enough intense training over the summer I scored a 95/100 which exceeds way above PFA standards. Overall, all of this concludes to one thing, never give up and "where theres a will theres a way".
