Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital — Inpatient Rehabilitation | 40 hours

• Observed occupational therapy with patients recovering from strokes and other neurological and physical conditions.
• Observed ADL training including dressing, grooming, toileting, and transfers, with an emphasis on increasing independence and preparing patients for discharge.

Pediatric/School-Based Occupational Therapy | 7 hours

• Observed occupational therapy addressing fine motor skills, coordination, attention, and participation in school routines.
• Observed therapists adapt activities and approaches based on each child's individual needs and abilities.
