- Coordinated a fundraiser for a community event, "Making Memories Hunt," where children and adults with disabilities are given the opportunity to go hunting
- We raised over $4,000.00
- Initiated a program for Veterans and First Responders to meet together on a monthly basis for the purpose of PTSD and suicide prevention through group therapy

- Completed a "parish based" unit of Clinical Pastoral Education at Duke University Hospital
- My clinical time was divided between 24 hour on-calls at the hospital and regular visitation in parish setting
- Developed and shared vision of the church with a focus on Meadow Lane Elementary School and Seymour Johnson Air Force Base
- Self-initiated a reading program at Meadow Lane Elementary School working with Multi-age classroom focusing on around 30 children with extra needs
- Coordinated with Meadow Lane volunteers and church a three day reading camp at the church which included writing and receiving a $1,500 grant
- Attended North Carolina Conference's Churches for Children (C4C) conferences to learn more about K-3 Literacy, Childhood food insecurity, and Parental involvement
- Led panel discussion of reading initiatives for smaller churches
- Worked to make existing weekend food program at church sustainable by incorporating a yearly car-show as a fundraiser
- Initiated several programs with Base Chaplain Corps such as, "What Does Memorial Day Mean to You?" writing contest with Meadow Lane, and Air Force Cookie Drop
