I have successfully run jobs from start to finish including rough-in, installation, and point to point test out. I have trained multiple people and tracked their progress through weekly meetings. I have begun to learn the basics of programming for our systems. Recently coordinated our team between multiple jobs. This includes, ordering parts and wire, verifying budget, and meeting scheduled deadlines. I adjusted methods of completion to accommodate scheduling and design changes.

I installed conduit and pulled wire for various electrical system including fire alarm, MDPs, and MCCs. I also was tasked with making final decisions regarding the placement of various electrical equipment when needed. I did this by using the scale on the prints and talking with owners and customers about what they want. I learned how to be politely honest with said customers if they wanted something that wasn't feasible, and to build trust between them and I.

I did a lot of electrical work and controls install while in this position. For the electrical, I assisted in pulling in feeders, hanging and terminating large VFD cabinets as well as the basic conduit and wire pulling for office spaces. I also installed the pipe and wire needed for controls systems throughout various buildings. In this position, I really learned how to acquire information I needed to complete my jobs with little to no help from my company. This enabled me to build my communication skills with other trades.

This time with Harris, I started as a Tech 1 and grew to a Team Lead. This included starting and finishing the electrical apprenticeship, and being a part of many successful jobs. Towards the end of my schooling I was tasked with running jobs with little to no supervision and coaching. This enabled me to develop my work ethic and sense of urgency and enthusiasm for work and doing my best in whatever I was working on. This including learning how to run conduit, pulling wire, terminating devices and panels, reading plans, coordinating schedules, and maintaining a constant effort to reach deadlines.
