I pride myself in the way that I was raised. Especially to never back down to work and a challenge in my way. Growing up there was always some sort of work to do somewhere, so an early rise on a Saturday morning was nothing out of the usual. of course, as a kid you never want to do work; However, when the magical words of 'if we finish today, we can go fishing tomorrow' always motivated me. Once we got our drift boat that really ignited the flame for me, I got even more obsessed. Catching fish was just the fun payoff, but I loved to match hatches, learn where fish sit in the river, and how to get the perfect presentation. And of course, rowing and learning to backup and boat came alongside the journey. Very few of my friends' fish, but I have dragged them long with me many times, and when they hookup after you tell them exactly what to tie on and where to cast is so rewarding. And like my grandpa always says, 'a bad day fishing beats a good day at work' is something that I live by.
