The inspiration for my creative work stems from popular franchises like Star Wars and Harry Potter, as well as the medium of comic books. Since a young kid, I’ve aspired to create works similar, ones that use fantastical and magical elements to commentate on parts of humanity and help make sense of it. These otherworldly stories were not only an escape for me, as I also became fascinated with the way they relayed some kind of meaning beneath it all, whether it be the X-Men representing racism, the Hindu and Buddhist elements within Star Wars, or Godzilla being a literal representation of the figurative monster of the atomic bombs. Comic books and graphic novels are my preferred form of literature and I’ve always dreamt of creating my own, tracing back to when I was six drawing made-up superhero comics with my cousin. I want my identity as a writer to have a focus on magical, fantastical storylines, worlds and characters that have a deeper meaning underneath. A meaning that helps understand a culture, religion, idea, emotion, or aspect of humanity on both a surface and deeper level.
