Maintenance of park facilities and trails. These duties included the use of a variety of power tools and specialized vehicles. These duties entailed; the removal of fallen trees, restoration of park buildings, and upkeep of park trails. As a Ranger 2, I am tasked daily with the administration of regulations to park guests. This role acts a security/law enforcement for the park (armed). In my job as a Ranger 2, I also assisted with educational programs at the park. This task included; leading trail walks, and the design and presentation educational programs for school groups. These programs varied from education on animal/plant species found in the park, to the conservation of of habitats. In this position I was also responsible for the collection and recording of monies.

  • Provided mutual aid to local law enforcement agencies as dispatched to combat crime and promote safe neighborhoods for citizens.
  • Oversaw volunteers and seasonal workers on assigned projects and inspected work for quality control, proper use of equipment and participant safety.
  • Performed search and rescue to find distressed, lost, sick or injured people and coordinated with local emergency response authorities.
