- Contracted through OSBIE (Ontario School Board’s Insurance Exchange) to execute comprehensive Fire and Liability/Life Safety Inspections at over 100 schools in Greater Toronto Area with the goal to educate and inform with the intent to reduce injury and/or property losses
- Provide qualitative risk assessments of assigned school board secondary and elementary school sites.
- Work closely with diverse groups of school representatives to pinpoint and correct fire/liability hazards and giving recommendations to fix them.
- Demonstrate high levels of communication to explain rationale for the recommendations being made.
- Clear and concise online report writing laying out hazards found, and recommendations made to improve safety of school.
- Conduct fire extinguisher training sessions for clients, delivering instruction on the correct use of fire extinguishing equipment.
- Travel to job sites and perform inspections ensuring compliance regarding the fire safety equipment within different occupancies.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service offering recommendation and instruction ensuring compliance of fire safety equipment within Ontario Fire Code
- Conduct annual inspections of various fire safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, exit signs, kitchen hoods, suppression systems along with the inspection and re-racking of hoses in hose cabinets
- Clear and concise report writing laying out what was accomplished during field inspections
- Perform inspections, 6-year maintenance and hydrostatic testing of various fire extinguishers and CO2 cylinders up to NFPA 10 standards.
- Assisting clients by providing informed recommendations regarding the selection and placement of different fire extinguishers ensuring compliance with Ontario Fire Code.
- Facilitated point of sale transactions with diverse groups of customers, managing sales and processing bottle returns
