I was raised around my mother being a nurse and my father running his own private Chiropractic office. This exposure fostered my interest in medicine my whole life. I love watching people heal and recover from ailments, and want to be the facilitator of this healing. This scholarship would aid my education and afford me greater chances to devote my time to furthering my education instead of worrying about finances. I would be honored to receive a scholarship from your organization and to be able to be a part of your organization one day.
I graduated my undergraduate degree form Point Park University with a 3.98. During this time I volunteered in an after school program called A Giving Heart, through our Honors club. Also, at this time I volunteered with an Alzheimer's association through a program called Opening Minds through Art. I then Matriculated to Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine through their early acceptance program. I will be beginning an observation rotation through Excela Health in Latrobe through the Bagby Scholarship honoring Dr. Andrew Bagby.
I was a facilitator for patients with Alzheimer's and Dementia diagnosis in a program called Opening Minds through Art. This program allowed different forms of expression through art for patients that benefitted from the tasks we created for them.
