As a hydrant worker, I have three primary responsibilities: flushing, painting, and bobbing. During the initial phase of the season, I flush the rusty water from the hydrant, followed by greasing the caps, and finally, I remove any remaining water. In the second phase of the season, I focus on painting the hydrants to enhance their appearance, ensuring they are not dirty or damaged. In the final phase of the season, I bob out any remaining water from the hydrants to prevent freezing during the winter months.
