Work History

Assistant Teacher

Blooming Minds Day Care
11.2023 - 11.2025

I was a floater at Blooming Minds, helping in the 4 classrooms as needed while also covering when the teacher was out. I closed the building at the end of the day, constantly communicated/built relationships with the parents, and of course with the kiddos as well. Absolutely loved working here, great staff and the best job I’ve ever had! However something more in terms of health benefits, pay, and another step forward in my career working in education are needed to further enhance my life.

Transaction Specialist

JPMorgan Chase & Co
05.2022 - 03.2023
  • I was a Transaction Specialist at JP Morgan (I was a temp through Adecco) and I was trained in all 4 programs

Head Cashier

Lowe's Home Improvement
11.2021 - 03.2022
  • I am currently training to be a head cashier here at lowes but I am looking at other options as I am not sure I am in the right place.

Paraeducator

Sheldon Central School
08.2021 - 10.2021
  • I was a paraeducator at Sheldon for the past few months, but it was not a great fit as I am looking to get out of the classroom and try some new experiences!

Administrative Assistant

Saint Albans City School
01.2020 - 10.2020
  • I took an administrative assistant position in 2020 and what was required of me was to be a part of the schools logistics team, and we did a bit of everything from answering the phone to taking care of mail to a whole new COVID world we had to maneuver. I enjoyed it to an extent but at the time I was all about working with the kids and this job just didn’t have that occurring at all, and I wanted something new.

Burton Island State Park assistant manager

Vermont State Parks
04.2019 - 10.2019
  • I was an assistant manager on Burton Island for a summer. I was in charge of knowing how everything on the island operated, from bathrooms to cleaning campsites to running the office. I was also in charge of the marina where I kept track of where boats were and greeting them as they arrived. I loved the job and would have continued had I not gotten an opportunity in a school not long after.

Counselor

Tyler Place Family Resort
08.2016 - 09.2018
  • I have been a camp counselor at the Tyler Place resort for 2 full summer seasons and the last month in 2016 (this is a seasonal job for most of the staff). The switch over from working in a school to being a camp counselor with kids for a week at a time (ages 2-15) was effortless for me. I won best counselor in 2017 (voted by my peers and fellow staff) and I have excelled at this job. Babysitting and many other opportunities come about at this resort and I've done a little of everything. I have been a one on one counselor for multiple families with their child and I have been requested by each family each time they have come back. This is a private arrangement where I would work and be paid by and for the family, not Tyler Place as I would not get paid the hourly salary that week. This job was to be only focused on the child for the family I would work for and support for whatever issue there was. My experience in schools and working with behavior children made me an obvious choice to be up for one on ones (our boss would assign them, not every counselor got chances to be one) and I certainly did not disappoint.

Substitute Teacher

Saint Albans City School
10.2015 - 05.2018
  • I have done a lot of everything at Saint Albans City School in regards to substituting. I have worked in every classroom in the school, whether as a para educator, classroom teacher, or even just supporting in difficult classrooms. I do it all for the most part, from subbing as a music teacher to subbing for behavior specialists. I have been asked to do anything with the kids in any grade. I can just play a movie all the way too actually teaching a real lesson. There is nothing I can't handle, including working with difficult children and even difficult coworkers. I have been a coach at the school for softball and soccer, and I also have done a summer program for 2 summers at the school, and I have also worked with the open doors program.

Camera Operator/Producer

Northeast Sports Network
09.2015 - 07.2016
  • For this job, I had to film high school and college sports for online streaming on NSN's website. I would set up the equipment, fix problems with the camera if any, and film games with multiple angles and styles. I started producing a few games after a while, which included working with a play by play commentator. I would be responsible for setting up everything from the audio to the live stream, and the graphics as well. Sometimes I was asked to be the cameraman as well as produce. I left this job due too moving back to Saint Albans from Lyndon and it wasn't practical to commute there. I did work out of the Essex, VT office for a few months when I returned, but I was taking summer classes that particular summer and it was too much of a commute (still) and time consumer to make it work.

Stockroom worker

L.L. Bean
11.2014 - 08.2015
  • At this job I would be in the back of house as we called it, or the stockroom. I would retrieve items for workers out in the store, tag items, unpackage them, record them, and all in between. This is the least favorite job I've ever had. I wanted to work out on the floor and interact with customers very badly, as that is easily my strength, but I was never given many opportunities to be out of the back room. This was a learning experience for me, as this is the only job I can honestly say I never truly enjoyed. Not a friendly work environment and a boss that made it uncomfortable to even make small talk with.

Substitute Teacher

St. Albans City Elementary School
12.2013 - 06.2015
  • This is where I began working as a Substitute. I did almost everything at Town School, and was asked to be a classroom teacher most of the time. I left Town School to switch over to City School too get more of a challenge and a change of scenery, as I went to primary school at Town School from Kindergarten up through Eighth grade.

Summer School Teacher

St. Albans City Elementary School
07.2013 - 07.2013
  • This job was a 2 week summer school setup for 4 hours a day. This was my very first job and where I got my start working with kids. I was not paid that first summer as I was only 17 still. The first summer I was just support but by the last summer (2015) I was running groups and even being the main discipline person.
