Projects

COVID-19 Antibody Detection Using Photonic Sensors, Spring 2020 - Spring 2021, This project focused on the development and optimization of a photonics platform for the detection of COVID-19 antibodies in the serum of individuals. My main roles included the testing of different serum samples with different antigens, optimization of the photonics platform, understanding various factors that contribute to the performance of the platform, and data analysis.

Benchtop Phantom to Mimic an Arteriovenous Fistula (BME 295/296), Fall 2018 - Spring 2019, This project focused on the creation of benchtop phantom(s) that were able to simulate physiological flow through an arteriovenous fistula (AVF) at different levels of stenosis and different inputted flow rates. The model consisted of four main subsystems: tissue-mimic, an AVF model constructed from latex tubing, a pump, and blood-mimicking fluid. Testing was performed throughout the course of the project using both quantitative and qualitative (Ultrasound) methods.
