We travel to multiple dairies in Eastern Idaho. I am in charge of "prepping" the cattle to be trimmed. We have a chute that lifts the cattle one by one so we are able to access the hooves to trim. Once the cow is "in the air," we then go to each leg and get the leg secure by hydraulic clamps and hooks. Jeremy uses a grinder with a special blade to trim the hooves one by one. When this process is done, we release the cow into a pen where they are held until the rest of the herd is trimmed.
Jeremy owns many golden retrievers. When he is out of town and there is no one else to take care of the pups, that's where I step in. I check in, walk, and feed the dogs 3 times a day. I make sure they are well fed and happy. They breed them as well. So every now and then, there is a litter of puppies. I make sure every single puppy is held and taken care of. The momma does the rest.
On days that I could not trim hooves, I stayed back and sanded Jeremy's log home. Once sanding was done, I stained what I had sanded. The staining process took many days to complete due to the fact that the stain needs 24 hours per coat. I did 4 coats, all the way around the house.
I was in need of work and did all i could to find a job. This option came along and i took it immediately. Although I never really enjoyed constriction work, I did it anyways. This specific job he only needed help on for a few weeks.
As I used to live in roseburg oregon, I mowed lawns and did lawn maintenance for my dads company (Mountain View Memorial Chapel) and for many neighbors. I began mowing lawns from the time I was able to pull the cord, and I still help out with lawns whenever I can.
I woke up at 6:30 every morning, ate some breakfast, drove to the meeting spot then went about our day to our assigned fields. As the hay was already bailed and harvested, all we needed to do was throw the bails up onto the trailer and then the trailer crew stacked the bails a nice, neat way. Some mornings, I helped feed the beef cows. As the season went on, the more I worked. I had to get back to Idaho soon in this moment so I decided I was going to work until it was time to leave.
