I actively participate with my local post and auxiliary assisting Veterans and their families. We assist with financial  or material needs, with funeral dinners and honor services. We promote patriotism in our community and support local youth groups. I am a coordinator for the Montezuma County VFW Post 5231 Stand Down in Cortez going on  6 years. I have held several leadership positions in local, district and department levels.
