Handling carefully the cadavers accordingly

Setting up the cadaver lab depending on the event hosted

• Knowledge of surgical instruments and providing the specific ones needed for instance: spinal fusion procedure, patella and femur head replacement , etc

Packing of cadaver specimens for shippment

Cleaning instruments and assisting surgeons, resident doctors, medical supplies agents and the xray technicians if needed

Providing assistance throughout the whole event

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with minimum or no supervision and ability to follow the protocol of tissue recovery, labeling and shippment to other bank tissue .Constant exposure to biological hazards, routine exposure to odorous specimens and graphic visual situations .Performing tasks that require prolong standing, walking and being able to lift up to 250 lbs bodies, supplies and material 50lbs or more without assistance
• Performing recovery of the long bones of human body :Humerus,tibia and fibula,femur and of radius, ulna and hemipelvis,
• Recovery of Vertebrae from prone and supine position of the donor
• Recovery of brain and dura mater for R&E
• Digitex Recovery for R&E which includes recovery of specific regions of spline, liver, kidneys, lungs, large and small intestines, sciatic nerve, adrenal glands, slicing and measurements of tissue and placement of it in dry ice and formaldehyde for preservation and shipping purposes.
• Perform recovery of tendons: gracilis, semitendinous, acchiles, anterior and posterior tibialis, peroneus longus and bravus
• Saphenous veins, costal cartilage serology : blood from femural arteries and or subclavian vitreous ( eyes) and urine from bladder reconstruction of donor using autopsy needles desinfection of tissue recovery room labeling and packing tissue shippment of tissue other tasks as needed.

• Eligible handwriting and being able to communicate with team members
• Knowledge of standard autopsy room protocols
• Ability to follow instructions and perform repetitive tasks
• Ability to use the bone saws, scalpels/ knives and autopsy needles
• Ability to use good practices and precautions using the personal protective equipment and disposal of sharp instruments
• Taking photos of the descedent with case number attached

• Perform serology ( blood, vitreos and bladder fluids) assist in evisceration using Virchow method when organs are removed one by one and dissected as assist the ME during autopsy by weighing the organs and write down the weight numbers, practice on removing calvarium and gently the brain and dura mater using the dura scraper
• Assist in recovery of tissue samples and placing them in formaline
• Suturing and cleaning the decedent
• Other tasks as needed.

• Assist medico legal death investigators from dallas county medical examiner at crime scenes by gathering forensic evidence possibly needed for the case investigation placing the decedent in body bag using different techniques and tools depending on the body location, weight and difficulty of scene
• Tagging the decedent ( left toe tag, red tag if crime scene), tagging the body bag and seal it with case number, write case number , name if not unknown on our body tag separated from me tag bagging hands and feet if requested placing the body on cot, placing cot in the van , transportation to DCME for autopsy
• Performed visuals on bodies at unt request for willed body purposes sectioning of upper and lower limbs ( willed body ) for science/ education
