• During my tenure as Interim Director, the agency
underwent massive changes to increase the capacity of
projects and programs as well as improve agency efficiency.
• Under my direction, the agency enacted the following
projects and programs:
o Rental and Mortgage Assistance Program
o Development Assistance program: Funded 15
new single-family townhomes to increase
workforce/affordable housing
o Small Business Assistance Program: Initiated
the Property and Business Improvement Grant
Program for small business improvements in
the CRA area
o Home Renovation Program: Initiated the Plant,
Paint and Pave Home Renovation Grant
Program to assist homeowners with renovation
projects to improve and beautify their homes
o Spearhead Property Acquisitions to assemble

Florida according to accepted practices and to develop
and maintain a list of all resources researched for possible
historic designation.

designated resources.

• Tasked with establishing an equitable distribution pipeline for
the sustainable supply of fresh food and supplies to underserved

• Tasked with identifying and creating policy recommendations in efforts of preserving affordable and accessible housing and
workforce opportunities through the identification of equitable
land use incentives in the West Brickell and West Grove neighborhoods as The Underline is realized.
• The mission of The Underline is to deliver and activate a 120-
acre, world-class linear park spanning 10-miles below Miami’s
Metrorail that will transform regional mobility and celebrate
diversity, culture and lifelong learning. The reality of land
development is that as investment occurs in a community,
residents in the surrounding area are often displaced because it
becomes a financial hardship to stay put.
