• During my tenure as Interim Director, the agency
underwent massive changes to increase the capacity of
projects and programs as well as improve agency efficiency.
• Under my direction, the agency enacted the following
projects and programs:
o Rental and Mortgage Assistance Program
o Development Assistance program: Funded 15
new single-family townhomes to increase
workforce/affordable housing
o Small Business Assistance Program: Initiated
the Property and Business Improvement Grant
Program for small business improvements in
the CRA area
o Home Renovation Program: Initiated the Plant,
Paint and Pave Home Renovation Grant
Program to assist homeowners with renovation
projects to improve and beautify their homes
o Spearhead Property Acquisitions to assemble
lots for redevelopment purposes
o Support for new Mixed Use Development
Projects in conjunction with City and Private
developers

Advises City Management on Planning, Development, Innovation
and Sustainability projects and programs.

• Established Main Street Opa-locka with the collaboration of the City of Opa-locka and the Opa-locka Community Redevelopment Agency.
• Built relationships with donors, government officials and other organizations to secure funding and support for organization.
• Represented organization to local public by giving presentations and speeches and participating in community events.
• Developed and implemented organizational strategies to achieve set goals and objectives and secured long-term success.

Worked in conjunction with city of Opa-locka in developing the
following projects:
• Downtown Opa-locka Masterplan
• Façade Improvement Program
• Establishing Historic Downtown Opa-locka District and Opa-
locka Innovation District
• Established Main Street Opa-locka

Worked in conjunction with city Community Development
Department in reviewing plans for the use of land and
revitalization and development of urban zones by recommending
location zoning and ordinance changes with the future needs of
the city's population in mind and recommend placement ofvarious
infrastructure projects. Projects completed included reviewing of
new development projects with an expected development value
of over $2 Billion.

• Conducted research and surveys, analyzed data and compiled reports according to local, state and federal guidelines.
• Formulated plans for urban development and redevelopment.
• Gave presentations to groups of interested parties conveying complex plans and proposals.
• Prioritized workloads and managed work time to keep projects moving according to timelines.
• Worked in conjunction with city officials in developing plans for the use of land and revitalization of urban zones to solve
  economic, environmental, and social issues by recommending
  location zoning and ordinance changes with the future needs of the city's population in mind and recommend placement of various infrastructure projects. Projects completed included, rezoning of Historic Downtown Opa-locka, establishing the Opa-locka Innovation District, and updating and reorganizing of the Land Development Regulations.

• Maintained records for each project and engineering discipline.
• Monitored installation of materials and equipment for compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Completed construction tasks while providing safe working conditions, staying on budget and meeting project deadlines.
• Identified technical risks within managed projects.
• Responsible for scheduling, planning, forecasting, resource and managing all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. Conducted planning and entitlement services for new property acquisitions and construction services from site plan to turnkey. Projects completed includes LEED Project Coordination with the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches, Project Management for both Miami Dade and Broward County Public Schools project, Owner Rep services for single and multifamily development projects ranging up to project costs of $5 million.

• Managed successful day-to-day operations of projects by maximizing productivity from available resources.
• Engaged in both long and short-term project planning, strategizing for on-time, high-quality deliverables.
• Developed comprehensive plans for large-scale projects that involved coordinating multiple teams.
• Assisted with the draft of the new LDR legislation, reviewed plans for the construction of new commercial and residential projects, and suggest zoning regulations for prime locations for
  development as well as conservation.

Mediate community disputes and assist in developing alternative
plans and recommendations for programs or projects, reviewed
and evaluate studies and reports pertaining to private and public
planning projects and programs. Investigated property
availability for acquisitions. Assisted with community service and
enhancement programs servicing an underserviced community.
