I'm a young Italian Biotechnologist with strong Lab skills in Molecular Biology and Cell Engineering. My main expertise is about the creation of cell models aimed at the study of metabolic pathways and gene regulation in different types of cells. During my whole academic career, I've been interested in studying the molecular mechanisms that regulate cancer initiation and progression, with a special focus on the role of Mitochondrial Carrier Proteins in metabolic reprogramming of cancer cells. By working as Research Assistant II at Boston Children's Hospital at Cantor Lab, I've been developing novel RNA-editing based strategies to selectively target cancer cells. I am a highly motivated person and scientist and I really enjoy sharing ideas, projects and opinions with my friends and colleagues.
I can consider myself an adventurous, creative and enterprising person Since I was a child, I've been practicing different hobbies like sea-fishing, basketball, table tennis and other outdoor activities I firmly believe in the importance of human relationships and I love creating connections among people, especially through good music and art
