- Based on physician orders, guide, evaluate, perform and supervise resident assistance plans including but not limited to, assessments, resident/family teaching, development, and updating of residents' plans of assistance
- Ensure the implementation of the Resident Service Plan and evaluation of that plan to include updates for significant changes
- Establish and maintain resident records according to State and Federal guidelines
- Review incident reports for completeness and follow-up documentation in the medical records
- Provide or coordinate educational opportunities related to health issues of interest to the residents and families
- Establish a medication setup system that works for each resident so that residents can remain independent in taking medications
- Communicate changes in the resident's overall condition to the responsible party, physician, Executive Director, and other team members
- Assume on-call responsibilities and address medical emergencies as they arise
- Responsible for the Quality Improvement, Safety, and OSHA programs for the nursing department.
