• Managed, organized, and maintained physical and electronic records consisting of commitment paperwork, release paperwork, detainers, interstate compact agreements, transport orders, writs, etc

• Processed Certified Jail Credit Request from internal and external parties, such as courts, outside jurisdictions, rehabilitation programs, halfway houses, Department of Corrections, US Marshals, etc

• On a daily basis calculated Good Time Credits earned by incarcerated individuals and produced a release date when applicable
• Disseminated, in writing or verbally, inmate information to courts, rehabilitation programs, a variety of law enforcement agencies, family members of offenders, and even the offender themselves via inmate request system.

• Check all commitment documents prior to accepting new arrestees
• Conduct thorough searches of all arrestees
• Provide all arrestees with new intake orientation which included PREA education, preparing CCRE, photographing the arrestee and checking VCIN for outstanding warrants/ warrant service
• Ensure that new arrestees that are violent or showing signs of mental health instability were properly secured and evaluated by mental health staff
• Alert medical staff when signs and symptoms of substance abuse, withdrawals or any behavior that might indicate suicidal thoughts were recognized as well as anything that would indicate obvious need of significant medical attention
• Classify new intakes and house them according to their needs
• Supervised and monitored inmates to ensure compliance with facility rules and regulations
• Responded to emergency situations such as fights, medical emergencies, and riots in a prompt and effective manner.

Housing Unit Officer: Oct 2015 through Jan 2017

• Supervised and monitored inmates to ensure compliance with facility rules and regulations
• Directed movement within the housing unit
• Was responsible for the observation of inmates who were suffering from mental or emotional disorders that required 15 minute suicide checks
• Conducted security rounds twice an hour as well as periodic searches of inmate living quarters and accessible areas for contraband
