Responsible for the development of future operations, planning and prioritization of capabilities, policy, and readiness to ensure the Command is prepared to support Army Component Command Headquarters and serve as the Theater CBRNE Command or as a Joint Task Force Headquarters. Supports the Commander in the execution of mission command tasks. Staff proponent for Plans under the Assistant Chief of Staff, including contingency operations and general war planning.
Neutralization Section Chief for the NATO Counter Improvised Explosive Devices Center of Excellence (CIED COE) responsible for identifying activities and technologies involved in the neutralization of IEDs. Conducted concept development and experimentation of counter IED technologies and assisted in the establishment of standards for the evaluation of CIED systems while providing Allied nations with equipment acquisitions. Assisted NATO Allies and Partner nations with developing and advancing their neutralization capabilities, and contributed to the development of advanced multinational courses for CIED subject matter experts while supporting high level exercises with the UN, INTERPOL, EUROPOL, FBI, and DIA.
Operations officer for the 52D Explosive Ordnance Operations Group EOD) responsible for sourcing explosive experts in support of world-wide contingency operations. Published operations orders and standard operating procedures (SOPs) using stakeholder input and feedback resulting in highly trained Soldiers to support Special Operations initiatives. Served as the Battalion Executive Officer for the Brooke Army Medical Center Warrior Transition Battalion responsible for the synchronization and management of 350 military, civilian, and contractor staff and cadre. Oversaw staff activities and assumed Battalion Command for over 170 wounded, ill, and injured Service Members in transition in the absence of the Commander. Ensures effective operations and staff support in the areas of unit readiness, human resources, logistics, family readiness, and transition services. Managed a budget of over $16 million annually.
