Vocal performance comes naturally as my parents were traveling musicians, and my father was the choir director and cantata composer for several churches. In high school, I performed in competitive chorale, and acapella groups, culminating in a performance tour in Europe. As an adult, I have performed as a vocalist with several worship teams, and led the music program at Tree of Life Messianic Congregation for several years, in both English and Hebrew. While I don't believe I could teach music classes, it would be a joy to assist in a music program.
Growing up in exotic locales like Guam, Panamá, and Key West gave me a great appreciation for all things marine. After attending a summer camp in Marine Biology and Conservation as a middle school student, my future inevitably led to interest in the sciences. As a homeschool educator, I have enjoyed developing a deep love for the ocean by teaching Oceanography through the Apologia Science curriculum. We regularly visit Moody Gardens in Galveston, and our hobby has expanded into a terrestrial hermit crab community and a thriving 45 gallon fish tank.
