Performs clinical responsibilities, such as triage, vital signs, preparation of examination rooms, medication administration, and clinical tests.
Responds to patients' medical concerns, crises, and emergencies on-site or via phone call.
Sets "nurse's visit" as appropriate to address patient's questions or concerns about health management, and educates patients on plan of care managed by physician.
Performs wound care as directed by the physician.
Performs hormone pellet insertion under physician's supervision.
Supervises and collaborates with medical assistants, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to protocols.
Assists the physician during examinations and procedures, such as gynecological examinations, biopsies, arthrocentesis, etc.
Performs venipuncture, centrifuges, and labels specimens according to lab requirements for appropriate testing.
Manages referrals and pre-authorizations of prescriptions and diagnostic testing.
Collaborates and coordinates with physicians' offices, physical therapists, social workers, home health nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive and up-to-date patient care plans.
Contacts patients to provide lab and test results, as reviewed and approved by the physician.
Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to enhance and streamline departmental operations.
Provides orientation and education of clinical duties to new staff, promoting effective learning and adaptation to clinical environments.
