Throughout my career, I have utilized my training and skills to take on challenges, fulfill responsibilities, and achieve objectives. I collaborated closely with the infection control team to reduce the incidence of pressure ulcers in ICU patients who are bedridden. Additionally, I had the privilege of mentoring nursing students and providing guidance and support to help them gain the confidence and skills needed to make informed decisions about their future in the nursing field.
Due to my passion for nursing, auditing, research, and attention to detail, I earned an MLS degree in Healthcare Law from the University of Oklahoma. Before embarking on my nursing career, I spent 18 years in the banking and auditing industries, which equipped me with the adaptability and expertise necessary to succeed in any situation.
Thank you for considering my credentials. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to meet with you and discuss any questions or concerns you may have. I am confident that my diverse background will be an asset to my future endeavors.
I am responsible for reviewing medical record documentation utilizing the UDS-Pro Doc system to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of functional scores and comorbid conditions, in accordance with CMS guidelines. Additionally, I collaborate with the HIM department to guarantee the prompt completion and transmission of the IRFPAI to the CMS national database. It is essential to ensure that the IRFPAI aligns with the medical record documentation and accurately reflects the functional status and 24-hour care needs of our patients. Furthermore, I work closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure that the UDS Pro-Doc system and medical records capture the most precise assessment of the patients' needs and strengths.
