Last year my country was hit by a tropical disaster, in this case, a Hurricane. I volunteered to help with all the donations the Consulate of Honduras was receiving, by sorting items, packaging, and receiving donations from people. Many donations were made, and volunteers were required to manage and sort all the contribution received from all these caring people. Many people from my country lost their homes, and had no shelter or food for days, so I thought volunteering in this crisis time was necessary and it also made me feel really good about it.
