I grew up in a family business, so I have seen both sides and perspectives of the employee/employer dynamic. This is a unique attribute that I feel I posses, as it allows me to be empathetic as well as understanding how business operates efficiently. I am a mother, college graduate, and a homeowner. And absolutely none of this came easy. But I'm hardworking, self motivated and I still enjoy a challenge. I learn new things rather quickly and I'm not resistant to ask questions or ask for clarification. I'm patient and sympathetic, but focused on choosing my battles when it comes to productivity. I consider myself to be a strong communicator, and always follow rules and protocol when making any executive decision I am confronted with.
I am extremely skilled in Microsoft office as every job I have had has used at least 2 or more of the applications. Excel (Used daily for C&S & M.o.M Designs) is a favorite of mine; I continue to use it in my daily life, as spreadsheets and formulations are extremely helpful to track finances. Access, Word, Outlook, Publisher are all apps I consider myself to be highly efficient at.
Work History side note: I worked simultaneously with Inn Consulting Partners, InnConsultancy and Hiler Hospitality as they are all interconnected but separate businesses. I ran the office independently while the owners and Administrative manager attended PAII conferences. Inn Partners was (and still is) a successful business and we were all very close, as there were only 4 of us who were responsible for the business runnings during that time. Unfortunately, due to a car accident and extensive injuries, I had to leave and focus on physical therapy, insurance &transportation issues. Since there were so few of us in the office, each having a monumental amount of responsibility, I explained that I would not be able to work full time anymore and they understood. Before leaving, I put together notes, passwords and easy instructional task documents for the next person who would be taking my position. Something that I wish I had had going into the job, and something i knew would be instrumental in assisting my successor.
