I love to be outdoors. I am a competitive Freestyle Skier. I love going on river trips with family, skateboarding and mountain biking. I also enjoy reading, drawing, woodworking and sewing and knitting. I have done Jujitsu for 6 years, during my off season. Currently, I am enjoying my time as a Junior Coach for Gear Girls, a mountain biking group. The club gathers young girls, to teach them the love of the sport. It's been a great experience. I am a Freshman at Flagstaff High School.
I have been awarded the overall Grand Canyon Series Champion in my age class, have been ranked 6th nationally for Freeski competitions in my age division and have been invited to USASA Nationals at Copper Mountain, Colorado for the last 4 years. I have gone to Woodward Summer Ski Camp, a week long overnight camp to train in all my disciplines the last two summers, winning camp scholarships both years.
At the age of 14 I gained my first regularly paying job in order to continue saving for my first car and ski camps and competitions.
I attended Pine Forest, a Waldorf inspired charter school, from kindergarten to 8th Grade. Throughout my schooling I have always received high marks in both academics and in social and leadership skills. A key point to Waldorf education is learning peaceful conflict resolution, group problem solving and compassionate communication skills. I feel like the curriculum of my school has given me a valuable foundation for more than just academics.
During Covid (06/2020) I completed my American Red Cross Babysitting Basics Course. Certificate ID 00ACJ8J
I became a junior coach for GEAR GIRLS, an all girl, beginner mountain biking group that is in association with Arizona Trail Association. I lead our end of the season, AZ Trail day-ride.
