I'm a hardworking individual and passionate job-seeker with strong organizational skills eager to secure the entry-level Prenatal Technician position. As a detail-oriented team player, my ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy allows me to help the company I'm working with achieve their goals. I'm currently a sophomore at Folsom Lake College completing my general education in order to transfer to Sacramento State University for fulfillment of a Bachelors Degree of Science in Nursing (BSN).
From my sophomore year until my senior year of high school, I had the privilege of being a part of the Health Careers Academy. In this program, I was exposed to information pertinent to the medical field, such as medical terms and anatomy. In addition, I was able to learn and practice how to take vital signs, bandage wounds, control bleeding, and suture through practice kits.
During my senior year of high school, I had the opportunity to intern at Marshall Hospital's General Surgery department. There, I was able to observe multiple procedures and witness what it's like to be inside an operating room first-hand. I was also able to further develop my skills in regards to being an attentive listener due to the gravity of certain operations. Furthermore, I became well-versed in 'scrubbing down' since anyone who was to be inside an operating room had to be dressed in sterilized garments.
