- I currently work as a therapy technician at the Jacksonville Brooks Rehabilitation Transitional Care Program. My unit contains 14 patients who have all suffered spinal cord injuries or traumatic brain injuries. My primary responsibility is being able to safely move and transfer patients from one place to another as well as assisting our team of therapists in gait training, functional electrical stimulation, fine motor promotion, ambulation of patients in wheelchairs, and providing an extra set of hands when needed. I have around 14 months of experience now and over 1000 inpatient clinical hours.
