  • FEMA offered many opportunities for me to do this, as well as to grow personally and professionally
  • In 2008, I was chosen to be a FEMA Disaster Reservist, a position in which I would be on call and deployed to disasters all over the United States at any given time
  • This agency has enabled me to work in eight states, preparing for and responding to various disasters, including hurricanes, tornadoes, and floods, as well as working with the agency to better the training needs of its employees
