Oversees the daily operations, maintenance, and administration of parks and recreational facilities. Ensure that natural and man-made environments are accessible, safe, and enjoyable for the public. Coordinate with Staff, managing budgets, and implement policies. Design, plant and maintain natives, annuals and perennials, tree work, shrubs for a total of 75 areas. Plant and care for 3000 roses in Laura Conyer Smith Rose Garden. Worked with garden groups and Kansas City Rose Society.

Assisted in operations and maintenance of 5 greenhouses starting seeds, transplanting, propagation and planting throughout both parks. Inspected plants for disease and insect problems. Cultivated, pruned, irrigated and planted assorted collection of woody and herbaceous plant material displays.

Performed garden maintenance including weeding, mulching, planting, pruning and mowing. Monitored for insects and disease and then treated. Oversaw projects form start to finish. Designed and implemented landscape beds and planted bulbs. Cared for residential gated communities and commercial properties. Took care of all billing and collection of paymente.
