Skills

  • Project Planning
  • Filing and data archiving
  • Strong Problem Solver
  • Professional and mature
  • Organization and Time Management
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills

Projects

  • Senior year of high school, I worked with 2 other classmates to build a working Tesla Coil for an end of year physics project. Through this I learned valuable skills of teamwork, troubleshooting, problem solving, and thinking in new ways using limited resources.

Research

  • Junior year I wrote a research paper comparing brains of offenders with violent tendencies and the average brain. I was able to discover connections between biological and chemical differences along with how experiences physically shape and change our brains. This developed a deep passion for me to study the brain and do further research with it.

Passion Project

  • In May through June of 2023, I worked with a team of 4 peers to design and run a toy drive to donate toys to low-income children at Froedtert Hospital. Together we advertised the toy drive, advertised and ran bake sales, reached out to companies and hospitals, picked out toys, and visited the hospital. This helped me build teamwork skills as well as vital networking skills.

Current Activities At Purdue

  • The Women in Engineering Program helps me connect to fellow women in engineering as well as have access to many academic resources.
  • The Biomedical Engineer Society helps me explore my desired career field and be surrounded by other BME students who can offer help and advice about the field.
  • The Society of Women Engineers allows me to meet other women engineers, interact through their events, and engage by volunteering.
  • The Club Volleyball Team helps me to interact with many people outside of my major and engineering by doing something I love and building strong friendships.
  • The Caduceus Club allows me to explore the medical field and get familiar with medical terminology as well as prepare for big tests like the MCAT. It also helps me learn the basics of medical procedures and life-saving techniques.
