I ensured that the goals and directives of the Patrol Agent in Charge were met and accomplished.   • As a member of the Campo Analysis Team, I reviewed intelligence data to help identify and classify smuggling events, which are perpetrated by Transnational Criminal Organizations, Transportation Cells, and Drug Trafficking Organizations operating in the Campo area of responsibility. I am familiar with, and regularly use, a number of law enforcement databases, including TECS, NCIC, ATS, CIS, E3, Fed Linx, Lexus Nexis, SDlaw, Cal Photo, Cop Links, CCD, LEARN, TSM , AFI, and IRS-NG. I work closely with Border Patrol Agents-Intelligence (BPA-I) to develop cases against TCO’s in an effort to arrest and successfully prosecute their commanding members.
  • Duties:
  • Collecting analyzing and dissemination of strategic and tactical within the agency and other law enforcement entities.
  • Review all IRS-NG, SaAW and TSM events; conduct research, record checks, and link analysis to accurately identify and classify threats, trends and patterns.
  • Communicate with other law enforcement agencies and sister Border Patrol Stations for de-conflictions and targeting purposes; analyze the data generated from shared intelligence information within Customs and Border Protection and with other law enforcement partners; and producing reports for utilization by station personnel.

  • My duties as an Alien Smuggler Identification & Deterrence (ASID) Agent, consist of interviewing apprehended subjects and to identify alien smuggling trends, tactics and Transnational Criminal Organizations (TCO). In regards to Identifying TCO’s, I acquire information from subjects and analyze the facts provided by sources of information to better understand, identify and target leaders of criminal organizations or new organizations operating within the Campo Border Patrol Station’s area of operation.   • Duties:
  • Identify, document, and disseminated intelligence of new foot guides working in CAO’ s AOR
  • Gain knowledge of criminal organization working in CAO and surrounding AOR’s.
  • Assisted agents with complicated smuggling/immigration cases being prepared to be presented to the United States Attorney’s Office (USAO) for prosecution.
  • Conducted thorough investigations to identify and deter alien smuggling activities.
  • Collaborated with law enforcement to develop effective identification strategies for potential smuggling operations.

  • As an abatement agent, I conducted intelligence gathering by interviewing subjects apprehended either smuggling or being smuggled. The purpose was to identify smuggling organizations and trends, so to assist agents in better targeting our zones. In order to do this successfully, it was important that I learned how to conduct interviews, gather intelligence, work counter-intelligence and conduct surveillance on known smuggling areas, residences and even people. The skills I acquired, were used to better understand how aliens or narcotics are smuggled, or to target specific groups in order to disrupt their operations.
