- PKI - Implemented new PKI (across five AD forests) using acceptable levels of encryption(sha256). Removed previous low encryption PKI’s that were broken and misconfigured.
- Configuration Manager - Implemented SCCM (current branch) and implemented patching and deployment strategies with proven results to ensure the security of the environment.
- Orchestrator - Implemented Orchestrator 2016 to assist with repetitive administrative tasks and replace legacy scripts. Upgraded to Orchestrator 2019
- MBAM - Replaced severely misconfigured and outdated MBAM setup.
- LAPS - Implemented Microsoft Local Administrator Password solution to help secure workstations and servers.
- OS Revitalization - Led implementation of current OS standards to modernize the environment. This included correction of ESX template issues and introduction of LTSB/LTSC versions of workstation OS.

- Systems Management: Consistently tasked with developing systems management procedures and documenting said procedures for products such as PBX’s, timeclocks, etc. After completion, tasks were passed off to teams of multiple personnel.
- Infrastructure: Led comprehensive infrastructure upgrades for extremely complex multi-forest Active Directory environment.
- AD Forest Consolidation: Integral part of consolidating 4 Active Directory Forests into 1.
- PKI Infrastructure: Introduced PKI infrastructure into the environment using Microsoft Certification Authority. This involved an Enterprise CA and several subforest CA’s for external Active Directory Forests.
- Event Monitoring: Introduced Active Directory event monitoring into the environment. Initial solution was GFI Eventsmanager, later replaced with Snare/Splunk solution.
- SMS/SCCM: Introduced SCCM into the environment. Developed a hack to allow cross-forest user pushes to external forests within SCCM 2007 without the involvement of Microsoft. Similar functionality within SCCM wasn’t available until SCCM 2012. Introduced SCCM 2012 into environment as well.
- Remote Desktop/Remote Apps: Developed locked down version of Microsoft Terminal Services for company wide use without utilization of VPN. This allowed users to have access from any system with an RDP client to work on approved applications while restricting access to other applications. Initial version performed flawlessly from 2006 until upgraded in 2012. Also developed and deployed Remote Application solutions for several apps, methodology similar to Citrix, but much more cost effective.
- Systems Monitoring: Introduced Nagios into the environment. Later handed off to team of multiple personnel.
- Expanded Role of GPO’s: Group Policy was under-utilized prior to my involvement, increased the role to provide enhanced management
- Web Filtering: Introduced web filtering solutions company wide. Initial product was SQUID, later replaced with Websense.
- Antivirus Solutions: Deployed McAfee ePO company wide while utilizing a combination of scripting and GPO to remove the former solution(pre-SCCM).
- Termination Checklists: Helped develop Termination checklist to ensure that terminated employees’ access to company systems were efficiently removed. Duties later handed off to a team of multiple personnel.
- Disaster Recovery Level 1 Personnel: Tasked with temporary relocation within very short notice to company’s Disaster Recovery center to ensure continued systems availability in the event of a disaster.
