Work History

Restaurant Host/Lead Busser/Assistant Food Runner

Frida Mexican Cuisine
West Hartford, CT
11.2019 - 03.2022
  • As a host, I have assigned various seating arrangements for parties of varying sizes, ensuring that all of our guests were comfortable and satisfied with their time with us. I also have answered inquiries regarding menu items, our restaurant services and special events/promotions we have held.
  • After being taught what I was required to do, I have always maintained a clean and organized dining area by removing used/empty dishes, resetting our tables at a quick pace, sanitizing every surface that a customer would encounter, refilling any condiments or supplies that needed to be stocked for future service.
  • My time being a food runner, I made sure to closely comprehend every ticket the expo has received and every prepared dish to check for any mistakes in regards to substitutions, wrong ingredients, etc.
  • Performed opening and closing duties such as setting up side stations and restocking condiments.
  • Managed waitlists during peak hours; monitored incoming reservations via phone calls or online applications.

Server / Restourant Host

El Santo
West Hartford, CT
04.2022 - 10.2023
  • With my experience I have pursued here at El Santo, I have retained a better work style being involved with fine dining. I have been taught to provide excellent customer service to ensure satisfaction to everyone who comes into the restaurant. I also maintained knowledge of the current and previous menu items, garnishes, ingredients and preparation methods that our kitchen and bartenders tend to put out for us servers to reveal to our customers.
  • Once I acquired the proper skillset to become one of our main head servers, I was given the opportunity to assist in the training of our new incoming employees such as bussers, hosting and servers. I have shared my knowledge of fine dining and how to properly satisfy our customer needs in a professional manner.
  • Often there would be times where my co-workers would have trouble understanding customer complaints which is why I would always step up and respond efficiently and respectfully in order to have our guests leave with the best service they could have received.
  • At times I would be required to perform opening and closing duties such as setting up the dining area, restocking supplies, refilling any condiments that were running low, etc. These daily routines would help me be more efficient with my time and work style.
