Cover Letter

Dear Hiring Committee,

I am writing to express my interest in the Nuisance Inspector position with the City of Worcester.

Having worked for the City of Worcester Department of Public Works for nearly ten years, I have developed extensive experience working independently in the field, operating City vehicles and equipment, responding to changing situations, and interacting with residents and the public on a daily basis. My experience has taught me the importance of reliability, sound judgment, attention to detail, and representing the City in a professional manner.

I believe my background with the DPW would translate very well to the Nuisance Inspector position. I am comfortable working independently, assessing situations in the field, documenting what I observe, communicating with residents, and following City policies and procedures. I understand that working with the public requires professionalism, patience, and the ability to approach each situation fairly and respectfully.

I am interested in this opportunity because I am ready to take the experience I have gained with the City and apply it in a new capacity. I take pride in the work I do for Worcester, and I believe this position would allow me to continue serving the residents of the City while taking on new responsibilities and challenges.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss my qualifications and interest in the Nuisance Inspector position.

Sincerely,

Daniel Cove
