Responsibilities:
- Support, facilitate, and coordinate activities to ensure that the main multi-center epidemiologic study (The Hispanic Community Health Study/ HCHS,
and three simultaneous imaging-ancillary studies, are performed in accordance with the research protocols and procedures.
- Recruit and apply eligibility questionnaires to participants.
- Coordinate research-related activities between departments.
- Schedule participants and conduct and document the informed consent process.
- Conduct bilingual assessments on cohort participants for nine ancillary studies.
-Perform blood pressure, and anthropometry on participants, according to the study guidelines
- Update all relevant databases (FileMaker, CDART, Epic, Velos, REDCap) required by the main study and ancillaries.
- Collect and transmit de-identified imaging data to the reading centers using the established platforms (Helical and WebPax).
- Identify, manage, and report adverse events in accordance with protocols.
Examined patients and recorded medical histories to use in health assessments and help determine conditions.
Provided health education to patients, families and colleagues.
Recorded patients' medical history, vital statistics and test results in electronic medical records.
Interviewed patients about symptoms and conducted thorough physical examinations.
Prescribed medications and advised patients about dosage, schedule and possible side effects.
Provided patient diagnosis, test evaluation and treatment under strict time constraints.
Advised patients about diet, hygiene and other lifestyle behaviors to promote health and prevent disease.
