Daniel Hernandez

Greeley,CO

Summary

I’ve had plenty of experience in a variety of fields!

Hi my name is Daniel, I was born in Greeley Colorado and lived within 30 miles from there ever since. I’ve had the great opportunity to learn a diverse range of tasks from making pizzas to now being a Heavy Equipment Operator.

Every experience I carry with pride and I hope I get the opportunity to gain more experience from more great teachers just like many of the jobs I’ve done and people I’ve met.

With a strong work ethic, skilled in some machinery and effective with communication, I excel in fast paced environments, achieving deadlines while initiating teamwork and collaboration. Team work is important so for any team I may be apart of I aspire to be my best self to do my part as efficiently as I can to assure the team functions as needed. I want to grow and develop more skills from anything I do, so doing it correctly and safely is important to me and overall benefits everyone else.

I’m very conscious to health (mental and physical) and safety compliance for continual improvement.

I believe peace and mental health is important and should be a main focus daily, I try my best to bring a friendly, positive attitude wherever I go. Everything I do I do with an open mind and grateful spirit

Work History

Heavy Equipment Operator

Connell Resources Inc
  • This was my most recent job. I love being an operator, Connell is a great company and a lot of good people. Construction is a big job and a lot to learn. Some meticulous and detailed work is required for the job we did. Fast pace work at times but also could be tedious at other times. Through the year working construction can be an issue in the cold months, got laid off but sent to another department which was a pipe division and got a couple months of experience with that. I was on a base crew and that involves preparation of the roads, side walks or parking lots, things of that nature before pavement or concrete comes in and finishes. Measurements need to be correct for the city or state, some mistakes can have more serious consequences than others. There was a good balance of physical endurance and brain power being used. Reading the leveling rod and all the measurements we dealt with forced you to stay on top with our math skills which I enjoyed.
  • Adaptable and proficient in learning new concepts quickly and efficiently.
  • Learned and adapted quickly to new technology and software applications.
  • Proved successful working within tight deadlines and a fast-paced environment.

It was a good stepping stone for me and the people at Whole Foods are great and it opens me up to new food! Saw many new things as I stocked isles and maintained my grocery position cleaning and organizing.

  • This job I had a good time at! Met good friends here and stayed pretty active here constantly unloading furniture of different sizes and weight. Spent a lot of time here with a dolly in hand or on a fork lift. There was some scanning work also and receiving all the product. Also moved departments when things slowed down and got experience stocking with cherry picker and wrapping furniture.

Assembly Line Worker

  • I loved this job! Wood working is my true passion and it burst to life while working here. I had a lot of family working here and met many people there who are now good friends. I learned so much about wood working being a builder here. I was on an assembly line, spent a year building drawer boxes and moved around to installing them in the cabinets and installing finished products over(doors drawers faces) and then moved to a cabinet builder. Probably my most favorite job to this day. Even got to dip my feet in some of the other departments here and there.
