As the System Operator I am responsible for the safe operation of a 15.2MGD Drinking water plant. I run laboratory tests every four hours for quality of the drinking water we produce at the plant. The tests I run include but are not limited to chlorine, ammonia, color testing, water turbidity testing, alkalinity, hardness, ph, and fluoride. I enjoy working in the lab and feel that I am proficient with the instruments I use to perform my job. I am also responsible for washing filters, calibrating online analyzers as needed, troubleshooting any problems that come up during the course of my shift and notifying maintenance people and supervision when there are any problems.
