I currently work as an overnight package handler at FedEx, where the fast-paced and physically demanding nature of the job has sharpened my discipline and reliability. Since joining the team, I have never been late or missed a shift—I take pride in being a dependable and committed contributor. Prior to my current role, I was unemployed for several years while supporting my family through extraordinary circumstances. In 2019, I made the intentional decision to leave my job and pursue reeducation, aiming to build a meaningful and fulfilling career. Shortly after, my wife suffered two consecutive car accidents that led to a traumatic brain injury. As her primary caregiver, I devoted myself to her recovery, managing day-to-day responsibilities and navigating complex legal and financial challenges. Through Perseverance, medical support, and legal advocacy, my wife has regained her independence enabling me to fully re-engage in my professional path. The birth of our first child has only strengthened my resolve to provide a stable and thriving future. I bring excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and an eagerness to learn—attributes shaped by years of adaptability, problem-solving, and unwavering dedication. I am now ready to contribute these strengths in a new professional environment.
When I left Copperstate, my wife held a well-paid position at a bank. My goal at the time was to find a job that better aligned with my aspirations or to return to school and decide on a career path. However, soon after leaving Copperstate, our lives took an unexpected turn.
My wife was involved in a car accident that left us without a vehicle. Our second car, which had already fallen into disrepair, was also unusable. We waited for our primary vehicle to be fixed, but shortly after getting it back, tragedy struck again—she was rear-ended at a traffic light by a truck, totaling our car. In addition to losing our vehicle, my wife suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI), which significantly impacted her abilities. I stepped into the role of her caregiver, supporting her through what was arguably the most difficult period of our 14-year marriage.
Now, several years later, she has made remarkable progress in her recovery, though she has not yet fully returned to her former high-functioning self. We are still navigating litigation related to the accident, adding another layer of complexity to our journey. Despite these challenges, life has moved forward—we welcomed our first child in April 2025, and after long-awaited repairs, our second vehicle is finally usable again.
With these recent changes, I feel a renewed determination to re-enter the workforce after such a long time away. The drive to find meaningful employment is stronger than ever, as I look ahead to securing stability and growth for our family.
