During my 1.5 years of dedicated service at Mikva Challenge, I have developed a deep passion for student advocacy and leadership. This role has allowed me to apply my skills in networking and community-building, enabling me to forge meaningful connections and empower my peers to take action.

My core competencies include:

  • Mobilizing student initiatives: I have successfully led efforts to engage students in advocacy, ensuring their voices are heard on critical issues.
  • Amplifying youth voices: I was selected to attend the first annual National Youth Summit hosted by Mikva in Capitol Hill, Washington to discuss the importance of driving change and community issues with youth from around the country.

  • Event planning and leadership: I helped organize and facilitate a youth-led panel in partnership with State Senator Willie Preston. Additionally, I helped organize and lead conversation in town-halls with multiple stakeholders such as CPS CEO Pedro Martinez and the Chicago Board of Education.
