Detail-oriented Navy Machinist Mate with exceptional skills in addressing problems and driving continuous improvements with forward-thinking and creative approaches. Dependable, punctual and hardworking team player with desire to take on challenging new roles with growing team.
I enlisted in the United States Navy in February 2019. There I learned about how to truly work as a team through conducting maintenance on various hydraulic equipment, A/C compressors, and other crucial equipment. I was part of many damage control drills and emergencies whether it be fires, floodings and toxic gas leaks. In my time in the US Navy I served onboard two ships, the USS Bonhomme Richard (Now decommissioned due to a shipboard fire back in 2020) and the USS Germantown which was where I learned the most about my rate as a Machinists Mate and other rates through Damage Control. In the field of Damage Control I was a Team Leader, Scene Leader and an Lead Investigator for many emergencies and drills to keep the ship in fighting shape and trained numerous people to keep it mission ready. I also lead the refueling crew leader for helicopters coming onboard the USS Germantown
