  • Served as the Engineering/Hydraulics Work Center Supervisor on the USS Nimitz
  • Responsible for operations and repairs of various types of shipboard Hydraulic Equipment and Deck Machinery, including Aircraft Elevators, Steering Gears, Anchor Windlass, Deck Edge and Divisional Doors, Mooring/Warping Capstans, Spanwire Winch and Gypsy Winch's
  • As the Work center Supervisor I was directly responsible for 10 personnel
  • Scheduling and assigning Maintenance for 21 equipment line items that contain 361 possible preventive maintenance actions using NAVSEA's Planned Maintenance Scheduling Software (SKED)
  • Along with coordinating all Maintenance actions in my work center, I am responsible managing our Work Centers configuration database using a program called Organizational Maintenance Management System Next Generation (OMMS-NG), the program is used to write jobs and track repair activity for all the Equipment items owned by a work center
  • Hydraulics division owns 3,228 configuration items inside OMM-NG and it is the responsibility of the work center supervisor to maintain the database accuracy
  • Prior to qualifying as Work Center Supervisor, I was a proficient Maintenance Person
  • Obtaining a strong knowledge of high pressure system and equipment
  • Working with Variable Displacement Pumps, High Pressure Accumulators, Heat Exchangers, Globe valves, Gate valves, Check valves and reduction gear assembly that are used in Anchor Windlass and Deck Machinery.
