Traveled to Verizon site locations and installed the new 5g Airscale units between the hours of 11pm and 5am
General work included removing the existing Base Station Unit and installing a new Airscale unit
Ran and terminated new Fiber, Coax, and Cat5/Cat6 Cabling
Integrated and updated new system with the support of the Verizon NOC to completion
Worked with other installation technicians in the area that had issues with the BBUs (Baseband Units)
Provided new SFPs as needed for the AMIA cards where the new fiber connection was not giving the green light to the Alpha, Beta and Gamma sectors
Communicated and supported the tower crews installing new antennas on top of the towers as needed when the Power or Fiber to the POV box was not communicating properly with the Airscale unit or BBU
Stitched and properly routed all cabling in the ladder racks above as well as torque all bolts to the specifications of the SOW.
Collaborated with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies into existing systems.
