I began working at Dunkin the summer between my junior and senior year. I’m trained in all aspects of the job: drinks, food, order taking, cash register, and prep. Through that job I have learned many valuable lessons and skills such as the power of kindness, how to effectively communicate, it has helped me develop a better work ethic, patience, and problem solving. I worked at my mom’s job as a worker in the warehouse. I pretty much organized stuff, cleaned, and got orders ready to send out. I played soccer my freshman year at Regis Jesuit and my sophomore year at Bishop McGuinness. I usually played defense or midfield. The main reason I quit was so I could focus on speech and debate., I volunteered at the Samaritan House, a homeless shelter in downtown Denver. I did various jobs including organizing clothes, giving out food, and talking with veterans. I volunteer at the regional food bank. I help box up the boxes that are being sent out full of food., I did speech and debate all four years of high school. I competed in various events such as public forum debate, congress, dramatic interpretation, Lincoln Douglas debate, and domestic extemporaneous speaking. I was the debate president for the club at McGuinness. I am a 2x state and regional qualifier in two events, Lincoln Douglas and domestic extemporaneous speaking, and I am a two-time national qualifier (2022, 2023) in domestic extemporaneous speaking. I have also won multiple awards such as State Runner up in Lincoln Douglas debate in 2021, 6th place in domestic extemporaneous speaking in 2021, 3rd place in Lincoln Douglas debate in 2022, and 5th place in domestic extemporaneous speaking in 2022., I was in politics club since my sophomore year. I was a consistent member and was chosen to be the president my senior year. In politics club we had discussions about certain political topics every two weeks. I was inducted into the Spanish National Honor Society my sophomore year. My junior year I was elected to be the Vice President. Unfortunately, due to National bylaws, I was unable to be president since I was no longer taking Spanish because I took all the Spanish classes available. In Spanish National Honor Society we did various service projects and have meetings.
