Throughout my life and job history, I have always strived to be a perfectionist. This can be showcased most prevalently through my soccer career. Always being a competitive athlete, I felt it necessary to work my hardest to accomplish all my goals, one being becoming a collegiate athlete, in which I found success. This has translated to all aspects of my life including academics, athletics, job opportunities, and even simply being the best possible person I can be.
As a pool technician, the job was to keep the pool and its surroundings safe and clean for the swimmers. By doing this, I checked the pH and chlorine levels, kept the corresponding number, and adjusted them accordingly by using chemical automation. Further, I performed backwash's by reversing the flow of water in the pool and draining out the impure water. This job also included the handling of chemicals to ensure the correct amount of them was introduced into the water. Further duties that were carried out included maneuvering the pool vacuum, skimming the pool, cleaning the deck, and draining the pool when necessary.
I removed used tableware between courses, and promptly replaced it with fresh tableware for the next course. I also restocked the dining room with plates, glassware, and utensils, ensuring that workstation supplies were always maintained. Additionally, I replenished supplies of clean table linens, napkins, glassware, dinnerware, and flatware, as needed. While busing tables, I quickly cleaned off any debris left by customers, and refilled condiments and other necessary supplies at tables and in service areas. Lastly, I carried food, dishes, trays, and silverware from the kitchen or supply departments to the serving counters.
