I’m extremely motivated and helpful to faculty members requiring assistance. My attendance and punctuality are excellent. I’m consistently straight‐forward and honest. I’m on top of safety and IT security issues. I make sure all the required labs are setup properly as well as making sure all of the equipment for the labs are functioning properly. I repair any broken equipment or replace unrepairable equipment. I'm intentional and strategic in aligning work with the university priorities and goals. I'm a Christian and I'm an active member at Columbia Baptist Church. I'm also a semi-professional trumpet player and perform with my church orchestra, the Cathedral Brass and the City of Fairfax Band. I'm married to my wonderful wife Jenny for 21 years and we have one son Matthew. He is a high school senior and going to college next year.
Maintain lab equipment, Schedule equipment setup's. I have maintained, updated, repaired, and replaced all lab equipment in our Physics and Astronomy labs in a timely manner. I've trained and supervised my student assistant in helping me setup labs as well as testing equipment and sensors. My student and I have maintained and updated a comprehensive list of all Physics lab equipment Inventory and setups and entered all data into an online Database for the Labs and equipment for instructors to view. During this past year I've worked closely with our lab coordinators to purchase and prepare lab equipment for their online lab instruction. I also assisted in making instructional videos for the labs. My student and I are making sure the equipment, benches, keyboards and mice are sanitized. Maintain, install, update software applications and data sets for lab computers and computers in faculty & students offices. I have been meticulous in patching and updating Physics & Astronomy labs software as well as fixing any computer problems that came up. I have learned Microsoft Deployment tool kit 2013 update 2 as well as SCCM in order to prepare and deploy the images for computers in Lab’s 324, 320, 220,228, 112, and Laptops used in Exploratory Hall L102. I also built images for the Testing and Tutoring Center computers and successfully deployed those images with SCCM to all the computers for that room. I'm maintaining and resolving any problems for computers in the Testing and Tutoring Center. I’ve setup and configured a new Windows Server with a virtual machine running Impero Class management software so monitors in the Testing and Tutoring center can monitor students as their taking their tests. Also, during this Covid pandemic I helped to support Faculty and staff by connecting to their home computers remotely to resolve any computer issues that come up. I've ordered, configured and troubleshooted PC's as well Mac Books for Faculty.
Tested and troubleshooted electronic equipment down to the component level. Tested, troubleshooted and calibrated UV measurement instruments. Trained new employees and maintained organization the lab.

I love building bookcases, shelves, furniture. I love building model ships ie I'm building a 3 foot model of the USS Constitution. I aso love Fishing and Sailing because I love communing with nature.
