  • Assigned to a supervisory position in the Philadelphia Police Department's Narcotics Bureau. Specifically, the Narcotics Field Unit.
  • Supervise twelve (12) officers and one (1) Sergeant. The Unit operates, primarily, in a plainclothes capacity. This group engages in long term investigations that often lead to the arrest(s) of suppliers and mid-level dealers.
  • Proficient in managing budgetary concerns, deployment of Department personnel, informant management, arrest and search warrants, as well as, developing raid plans and post incident critiques.
  • Duties have enabled me to create relationships with outside agencies, as well as, personnel within DAO and the US Attorney's Office.
  • Led investigations into narcotics-related offenses, coordinating efforts across multiple law enforcement agencies.
  • Developed and implemented training programs for officers on drug enforcement protocols and community engagement strategies.

Police Lieutenant

  • Assigned to the Philadelphia Police Department's Homicide Unit. There, I supervised approximately twenty (20) detectives and two (2) Sergeants.
  • Oversaw the investigation of a mass shooting/multiple homicides incident that occurred on South Street, on June 4, 2022. During this incident, eleven people were injured by gunfire, while three more tragically lost their lives. Utilizing the analysis of video retrieved, cellular device plotting, eyewitness accounts and ballistic analysis, multiple offenders were arrested. This investigation required coordination with members of PPD Office of Public Affairs, the US Marshall's Office, local and State personnel.
  • Analyzed crime trends to inform strategic planning and resource allocation for narcotics operations.
  • Evaluated officer performance through regular assessments, providing mentorship and guidance to improve effectiveness in field operations.

Police Lieutenant

  • Assigned to Northwest Detectives, Special Investigation Unit. During my tenure there, I supervised approximately twelve (12) detectives and one (1) sergeant.
  • Primary focus was any and all non-fatal shootings that occurred in a Division that spanned four (4) Police Districts: 5th District, 14th District, 35th District & 39th District.
  • Unit was also assigned to supervise the investigation of burglary and robbery/gun patterns that fell within Hobbs Act guidelines.
  • Northwest SIU was also tasked to investigate any high profile incident the occurred within our boundaries.
  • It was common for me, at the time, to speak at Comp Stat meetings. I would also regularly be tasked to hold press conferences and speak, on behalf of the PPD, to media personnel.
  • Streamlined communication within the department by establishing clear protocols and procedures.

  • For the remainder of time assigned to SWDD/SIU, I was assigned all robbery gun investigations that occurred within the confines of the Division.
