My undergraduate background is in psychology and sociology, where I developed a strong interdisciplinary understanding of human behavior, social structures and how those structures influence mental health. My academic work cultivated interests in forensic social work and childhood behavioral health, specifically the intersections between trauma, social systems, and involvement in the legal system. Through my studies and professional experiences, I have strengthened my analytical and leadership skills, cultural awareness, and commitment to ethical practice. I am especially motivated to pursue advanced social work training to advocate for vulnerable youth and justice-involved individuals, as well as children and teens experiencing behavioral health concerns.
